Our Orthodontists
Dr. Tim Cousin, DDS, MSD
Dr. Cousin was born in Paris, France, and lived there until his family moved to the beautiful state of Colorado in 2000. He pursued his undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of Washington, where he later completed his dental education at the School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class. He then advanced his training by attending the University of Washington’s orthodontic residency program, recognized as one of the world’s leading orthodontic training programs.
“I became an orthodontist because I saw the potential for smiles to transform not only the function of the bite but also people’s confidence and the way they carry themselves in the world. To me, orthodontic care is a perfect blend of art, science, and psychology. I cherish the privilege of developing close relationships with all my patients and their families as their true smile is revealed.”
Dr. Cousin is a published author with multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and received the prestigious Sicher Award from the American Association of Orthodontists in 2021 for his impactful research on improving access to orthodontic care for underserved populations. He leads a dental interdisciplinary study club for dentists and dental specialists, focused on enhancing the standard of care through continuing education for dental providers in the Seattle area. Committed to professional growth, Dr. Cousin participates in numerous continuing education events and conferences throughout the year and frequently travels internationally to update his skills and techniques, ensuring that he delivers the highest quality and most current orthodontic care.
Dr. Cousin cherishes his time with family in Mill Creek. Outside the office, he loves hiking and sailing with his wife and two daughters. He is also an avid beekeeper who takes pride in producing his own honey.
